Our climate goals
As FORUM 1, the district center directly at Salzburg’s main train station, we show responsibility for people, the region and the environment – today and for future generations. For many years, FORUM 1 has therefore consistently focused on energy efficiency, proactive climate protection, alternative energy sources and sustainable mobility. Our operator SES Spar European Shopping Centers has clear climate targets that will be implemented by 2050 at the latest.

Mobility and accessibility
At FORUM 1 there is a very good connection to public transport, we offer bicycle parking spaces and you’ll find a direct connection to the cycle path network. Up to 70% of our customers come to our center by public transport, on foot or by bike to do their shopping.
Due to the urban planning of recent years, the location of FORUM 1 has become even more of a local and regional supply magnet. An adjacent housing estate with over 100 units, ÖGK, BH Salzburg, ÖBB, Zentrale Volksbank Salzburg, various hotels and schools are part of our neighborhood. In addition, FORUM 1 has two underground car parks with a total of approx. 400 parking spaces, which are accessible 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
People & Society
Help where help is needed. We assume social responsibility, be it through long-term cooperation with regional associations, through unforgettable events or various charity campaigns. For example, FORUM 1 organises an annual bicycle flea market and under the motto “Repair instead of throwing away”, a Repair Café is organised where residents can repair old equipment. Constant cooperation with social institutions (Caritas, resident service, child and youth ombudsman’s office) has become an important part of FORUM 1. FORUM 1 is also happy to help with the Special Olympics, various sports clubs and various institutions in cooperation with the shop partners.
